CHANCELLOR UPDATE on October 16, 2023

*          Attached are the November 4th Archdiocesan Assembly materials that I have received - additional materials received in the future will be sent to you after I return to the diocese later this week from the OCA Pastoral Conference near Chicago (Tuesday through Friday) - or distributed on November 4th. Please share this info locally in the parish as desired. Please note that paper copies will NOT be provided for everyone at the Allison Park Assembly so please make a copy to bring that day. Please note that this material is produced exclusively for appropriate usage by the members of the Archdiocese of Pittsburgh and W PA (OCA).

*          Parishes are reminded to please submit the properly completed delegate registration materials (along with the required check) to the chancery within the next 10-12 days. (This is important to help us efficiently plan the food service required.) This material was previously sent to each parish office both electronically and via the USPS.

*          Archdiocesan Council members planning to attend the November 4th Assembly should notify me accordingly no later than October 28th by emailing me or phoning my Ambridge parish office so the attendee food count can be as accurate as possible to minimize costs.

*          The chancellor and the deans will vest (in gold) for the 9 AM Liturgy on November 4; other priests/deacons in attendance should come prepared in the appropriate liturgical vestments to enter the Holy Altar after the “Lord’s Prayer” is sung to receive Communion. Deacons to be vested for this Liturgy will be notified by me separately in advance of the date.
